Last Hug

by Momma22   Aug 25, 2006

Daddy, I'm growing up,
Please don't cry.
Do I look Okay?
Here, Dressed in white?
It's almost time now.
Are you sure I look okay?
Are you ready daddy?
To give me away?
Don't worry Daddy,
He'll take good care of me.

Hug me tight now.
This will be the last time
As your baby.
Next time we meet Daddy,
I'll be a lady.
I love you Daddy,
It's now time to go.
Time to make me a woman,
Time to make me glow.

I have to hold my tears back,
As I kiss you on your cheek.
I love you Daddy, I whisper.
So hard to even speak.
You look at me
With those soft grey eyes.
I am your little girl
And will always be.
Soon I'll be a woman,
Because of how you raised me.

If it weren't for you,
This wouldn't be happening.
Thank you Daddy,
For making me,
The woman I've turned out to be.

I love you so Much Daddy,

Love,
Your baby Girl
