Dreams

At night when I do drift
Into a deep slumber
I dream of that night
back in the summer

I held you hand and laughed
Until it hurt my head
I meant it with all my soul
every "i love you" I said

But then at school
You're nowhere to be found
And when I talked to you
you didn't utter a sound

I wasn't alive to you
I wasn't cool enough for you're friends
Like all the times I fell in love
I got hurt in the end

So I love at night in my head
Filled with lovely dreams
Because there you say you love me
Because nothing is what it seems
