Twisted Friendship

by Amanda   Aug 25, 2006

It's funny how he sent the perfect match for me
the guy with the nice personality,
great sense of humor,
who indulged me with love,
care and happiness
Seemed like romance couldn't resist
to cease and escape through friendship
But in reality I knew it was all we would be
a friendship that lacked truth
truth-to where in our minds we felt the same
a place where no one but us would know
or feel
It's odd how how when we first met,
I felt an instant connection
Who would have thought a simple Hello
would lead to lust?
But life is weird in it's own way,
cheats without acknowledging
Though I'd love to take her place
But I know
And you know
It's impossible for the walls that we face
do not break down
But to leave us only
hurt inside
