Mindless Euphoria

by brody   Aug 25, 2006

The mind begins to race

a prayer touches the lips

hail mary full of grace

the ink of the pen grows warm within the finger tips

the mind is cut open as the words slash upon the page

the heart is on fire

free it from this hellish cage

do not quit even if you tire

crawling through the endless maze

wonder if you've found your tressure

scratching the thoughts in a peaceful blaze

the mind is lost from the released pleasure

the pen finds strange doorways to the unknown

to walk a balance between the heart and mind

what you reaped you have also sown

a dream or reality, you couldn't tell, even with a sign

truth is what the mind seeks

the spiral of an upward fall

what you get, are only small peeks

you wait for the moment you might forget it all

into the blue of the sky the mind travels

be prepared for the secrets it unravels

each stroke of the mind, pieces of the puzzle you find

the mind falls into intoxication

as your heart and soul combine

is it redemption or a revelation

embrace the moment in the end

this is where your true self, begins
