Grandma, mom, and friend

by Aggie Angel   Aug 26, 2006

She was the sweetest person
She was all I ever had
I stayed home from school
The phone rang it was the hospital
Mom said she had to go
So I laid down for a nap
I hear the door, keys being put down
Footsteps
Then a voice tell me that the one person that meant ever thing to me had slipped away in the night
At first I couldn't talk but finally I asked what happened
She said that she died in her sleep
"So it was peaceful"
The rest is a blur of faces and voices
My brother saying it will be ok
My granddad crying
People saying they were sorry for my loss
But the one thing that sticks out the most is when I saw her face
Her cold white face
Was it her
I touch her hand she was so cold
It wasn't her it couldn't be her
But it was and I knew in my heart that my grandma, mom, and friend was gone all at once
