Lost Hope In Life

As I lie here quite and awake,
I wonder if my life was just one mistake.
My dreams are dark and impure,
and I can not see any other cure.
Wanting it all just to go away,
A little more is dying on any given day.
My eyes water but my tears do not shed,
I think I'd just be better off dead.
My days and nights are long,
My mind and body can barely go on.
I think I'm nearing my life's weary end,
It's all waiting round the eternal bend.
