Rest

by Shadow Of The Dark   Aug 27, 2006

My eyes are closed inside the box,
One last dream before I wake,
Then the images swirl and form,
Breathless to all that's fake,

Plastic dolls for friends stand tall,
Pull the thread to hear her speak,
"Look at the ugly scars you have!"
"And the gifts you've given reek."

"You are no friend of mine,
Stop pretending to be 'it',
I won't date the guy you loath,
Stop biting where it's bit!"

I cried, "I am so sorry!"
"Am I really that bad a friend?"
"I wish I didn't make mistakes,"
"I hope we never end."

It's too late now I am gone,
Lost in a tide of relentless shade,
Darkness has consumed the beast,
With the shimmer of it's blade.
