Just a dream

My heart is filled with confusion
My want for him grows strong
But the more I want to be his girl
The more it feels so wrong

His eyes show mixed feelings
But his touch says he needs me
I find myself dreaming of him at night
Im in his arms and I dont wanna leave

My heart jumps when I hear his voice
The missing pieces fall into place
I find myself wishing to kiss him
Wanting that passion to always stay

I close my eyes and hear a song
I imagine him touching me gently
My heart beats fast with every word
That he whispers slowly to me

The romance is filled with passion
But I begin to realize its just a dream
The truth is he will never be mine
And my broken heart starts to bleed

At times our tears tend to seem forced
But not when it comes to love
Our hearts break so naturally
And we wonder why God has to be so rough
