To: Death

by Rae   Aug 27, 2006

Touch me Death,
for I am lost,
There is no hope,
in this chaos.

No yearning or feeling,
Passion or Pride,
There is nothing here,
for I have died.

Touch me Death,
for I am lost,
Is there no hope,
in this chaos?

No Hurt or Happiness,
Anger or Sorrow,
There is nothing here,
not even tomorrow.

Don't touch me Death,
Though I am lost,
I will find my hope,
in this chaos.

I will find my happiness,
my passion, my pride,
I will find myself,
I will NOT die.

***I wrote this during post-pardum depression after my dad tried to kill himself.***

Thanks for your comments...and I REALLY liked this poem. It really flowed but it was still simple and I liked it. I'm sorry you had to go through that, but you expressed this very well. I'd love to see more of your work soon! ~Jules
