For every tear you shed

by Hayden   Aug 28, 2006

For every tear you shed, for every cry you weep, my heart feels the pain; my heart looses its beat. Like the ashes of the dead, all that I once knew parishes in the wind. A cool stream of hatred and deceit flows like a river through my veins as reality sets in and things begin to change. When I was with you we were much like planting a young flower that never grows. All the right ingredients, but no knowledge of the world. Faith was our weapon and time was the enemy. With that in our minds we set out to conquer something we had not even seen. A new territory, one that had not been breached. At least not in our lifetimes, but we believed it could be reached. To gain you must work, and oh how we did. Everyday something new, something else to begin. The progress was beautiful like a star being born. Well as everyone knows not even love is perfect. Nothing can reach that place. As always there was a glitch in the system. One we did not trace. It ate away like a virus, destroying everything important day by day. Soon it was like turning over a new leaf just to see the same side in a fainter color, or a brand new mirror with the same old reflection. What was clear to see though was the fault laid upon my chest. I was the internal problem and I can now clearly say " It's not you it's me, " and wish you the best.
