Dream Gone Bad.

by Megann Lee   Aug 28, 2006

Her mind is so full of thoughts.
Yet so empty, with nothing to say.
She can't think of the words to speak.
To tell him, just how she feels.

Sighing softly, as she talks with him everyday.
Her head racing with words she wants to blurt out.
To let him now, all the questions she has.
Just hoping maybe, something might slip.

Yet she doesn't she holds it in, as they talk as friends.
Sadness dwells within, wondering if it could be something more.
She wonders if he knows, that every night as she sleeps.
He is on her mind, in her dreams.

He's all she tends to think about, her mind obstructed.
With thoughts about him, it lingers within.
Her eyes fill with tears, as he looks at her.
Their conversation stopped mid-stream.

Her lips tremble, as she keeps a steady gaze on her.
She softly chokes out the words she has been terrified to say.
She explains how she feels, tears fall onto his skin.
His eyes tear slightly, his eyes sparkling with joy.

His hand strokes her cheek, slowly wiping all the tears away.
And with a fleeting kiss upon her dampened lips.
He smiles to her softly replying to her words she has spoken.
"I never thought, it would, nor could be like this.

Everything I have ever felt for you, wondering if you too feel it.
Holding it in, holding back these 'I love you's'
Wishing you would say something daring to me.
About just how much you loved me too.."

She smiles, holding back more tears, something about this.
Just doesn't feel true, she blinks her eyes slowly.
Blackness surrounding her as she sits dazed.
Tears fall from her eyes, for that was just a dream gone bad.
