Mommy...

by Kitty   Aug 29, 2006

Her tear stained pillow
as she slowly fell into a deep sleep
whispered secrets of abuse and pain
which no one else knew of

Was she not pretty enough?
did she lack intelligence or humor?
did she need to loose weight to gain love?

She wondered...
Would she ever be good enough?

In the world today
you would think that piers would be sending this sort of grief

But no...
Her own mother...

To be perfect in her eyes
is to be like the sibling
the one who has it all
and everyone knows it

The girl wonders...
and wishes
one day she might be good enough
but she falls into a nightmear
each and every day....
