Missing You

by Thomas   Aug 29, 2006

It was a beautiful moment, in the beginning of May,
The calendar was free, and so was that day,
You opened your heart, looked in the lost and found,
You grabbed me by the hand, turned my life around,
I gave you love and friendship, you took away my kiss,
I swore I'd love no other, I couldn't possibly like this,
So, no matter who I see, no matter her scent sweet,
It's you, the one I wait for, the next time we should meet,

Every time I close my eyes, my heart beats twice as fast,
The image of seeing you again, jumped from the past,
I could keep my eyes closed, to see you smile through the pain,
Only in fear of not waking up, the pain hits me again,
I'm missing you; I'm missing you;
No matter the distance, how far you may be from me,
It's you I keep my eyes closed for, you I long to see,

Though so many things I'd like to say, I swore I'd make you smile,
Though time was passing us by, my actions weren't agile,
I saw your smile today, it influenced my eyes,
Although it blinded me, it blinded all past lies,
I can put on a mature front, though naive in mind I am,
I can love you more each day, you showed me that I can,
No matter where I go, no matter what I do,
You're the last thing on my mind, as I'm thinking of you,
