Please.

by Megann Lee   Aug 30, 2006

Please don't turn your back on me.
Don't crush my heart, like so many before you have done.
Just help me heal these bleeding wounds.
I promise I won't ask you for much.

You know, I don't like the reflection I see.
The one that stares me down in the mirror.
You know I'm weak, you know I don't do things so well.
I'm not perfect, I could never match up to your expectations.

Please, catch me when I fall head over heels.
Don't drop me, or let me get hurt.
Promise me you'll always be here.
That you won't abandon me like the rest have done.

Look me in my big blue eyes, just stare me down.
Whisper the words I long to here baby.
Please, just tell them to me, make it sound like you mean it.
My heart is breaking, not knowing whether I'm worth it or not.

I have fallen, and crawling to get back up.
But it's like no matter how hard I am trying.
Everything slams me back onto the ground.
Ten times harder then the last life's bone cracking blow before it.

And as my tears fall, I can't help but to think.
I'm not good enough for someone of your quality.
Please, just tell me. Tell me you love me.
Cause I love you more then the entire world itself.

So please don't turn your back on me.
Don't crush my heart, like so many before you have done.
Just help me heal these bleeding wounds.
And I promise I won't ask you for much.
