REMEMBER HER

REMEMBER HER

She tried her best to better herself
For when she decided it was time to go
She wanted to be remembered
There\'s things she wanted people to know

She wanted to be remembered
As the girl who would brighten up your day
Even if she couldn\'t brighten her own
She\'d put a smile on her face, & say she\'s okay

She did all she could for everyone around her
She struggled daily to overcome her depression
But she came up to short
Everyone lost her, due to her obsession

Thoughts of death was all she could think about
No one understood why she was the way she was
She suffered from to many problems
Didn\'t know why; No one does

She never got the chance to be a child
At 15 years old, she was forced to move
Then living with her grandmother
Thinking everything would improve

She got away from the mother who didn\'t care
And the abuse men in which she was dating
But over time, her problems just got worse
For 5 whole years, she would cry; waiting

Waiting for things to improve, even just the slightest
Tired of hearing all the wrong she has done
No one being happy for her
For all the struggles, and things she\'s overcome

At one point in her life, she was actually happy
Things change, people change, no one left to care
She couldn\'t see a reason for all of her pain
She found out, nothing in life is fair

She wasn\'t a bad child growning up
Did good in school, never got into a fight
But I guess it didn\'t matter for her
Nothing she did was ever right

With everything wrong that was in her past
She tried to make the best of her life she could
She wanted someone to be there & listen to her cries
No one came, no one ever understood

Take a minute, sit in silence & hold your hands together
Take time to remember this girl who\'s died
Forget her flaws & all of her mistakes
Remember her for who she was inside
