A love that is not there

by argueing with the rain   Sep 2, 2006

She came over
and sat down by me
saying nothing at first
just breathing gently
reaching over
she touches my hand
at that very moment
we both understand
her soft hand
stays connected to mine
hoping this would last forever
i wanted to stop time
this feeling i have now
is one i have never known
a true sense if happiness
because i am no longer alone
but when i open my eyes
i see nothing but air
and its at that point i realize
no one is there
