It started out with one,
then two, then three, then four...
She continued to tell them all,
the list grew more and more.

One little whisper,
and tiny little rumor...
The more she repeats it,
the more it consumes her.

Now the girl it was all about,
she eventually found out you see...
She heard it everyday for weeks,
she would cry "ENOUGH! DON'T BOTHER ME!!"

She turned to the ones she thought she could trust,
her 'best friends' for years...
After the phone never rang,
her eyes filled up with tears.

The summer has gone by,
