Pigment Of Life

by Amanda Lynne   Sep 3, 2006

The reflection that gazes back.
The reflection that gazes within.
As though paper mache, my life tears as it leads.
Tiny, subtle drops of despair refuse to halt.
My certainties have slowly become my tradgedies.
My reality, my unknown.
At the horizon, I peel my eyes away.
Wanting, Wishing, Whispering.
Permanent stains endorse these cheeks as to appear a lovley glow.
But all criminals have a disguise.
A job well done leaves for the speechless.
As for me, emotionless.
I retreat at a rapid pace, only to stumble, fall and uncover my fate.
They say distance makes the heart grow fonder.
What\'s left of this heart is anything but fond of this position.
The distance all too far.
My strength far too gone.
Yet composure i must regain.
I refuse to follow in the footsteps of others and rather make my own.
As pain subdues me, i cry out, confident of my existence.
As i resume only to stumble, fall and uncover my fate, i strive with everything that lies within me.
For the world turned it's back, an option not open to me.
Give me your hand, and i shall show you an unreal pain.
A pain so maticulous, so grand in it's being.
Come with me, dance with me.
Talk with me, Walk with me.
As i uncover the unknown.
