Wishing on Shooting Stars

I cant say how it began
it all seems so surreal
every time we saw it each other
it was my heart you'd steal

then came the question
to go out or not
but there was something else
a problem I had forgot

I dealt with it then
and then it was true
I was able to be there
to be in love with you

I didn't plan on falling
or expect that you'd say
"I love you oh so much"
it just took my breath away

of course I didn't say it back
there were no words I could find
to explain exactly how I felt
but I knew I loved you in my mind

so some days later
when I knew the time was right
I whispered "I love you too"
and felt my heart take flight

Theres no explaining it to anyone else
Ive never felt so strongly before
so in love that I'm scared
just putting my heart out on the floor

I need you now to reassure
that you're with me in this far
and I'm not the only one wishing
for this love on a shooting star
