I see you

by Miranda   Sep 4, 2006

You remind me so much of the saying "Can not see the forest for the trees;" it fits you so well.

You build your walls, you bar the gates.

You want to be looked at, but not seen.

But I see you.

You are the forest, you planted your own trees. Seems like a lonely place to dwell.

Talking your circles, getting close without getting close at all.... but who am I to judge? You are the master of your fate.

I just wonder sometimes, how long will you run? When you are weary on whom will you finally lean?

You hide so well from so many, but I see you.

You have yourself to thank for that, you taught me how to see.

I had circled my wagons, closed up the keep.

I talked those same circles, I danced the same dance you are dancing now.

You saw me, and in turn showed me how to see you.

I do not know what you saw, but in the end you ran from me.

I understand that too, but know that what you sow you will reap.

Be careful who you try to fool and how.

Because sometimes, some of us, can see you.

We are back to talking circles, hiding behind the lyrics that we speak

Seems a bit silly, and I do not understand what you want.

But neither do you, I do not think.

I may not understand what you want, but I understand you.

But I will talk the circles and dance your dances, even as you make me weak.

I still hear the things you said...in my mind they haunt.

Your excuses....your lies....they are what gave me the link

They are what made me see what makes you...you.

Now that I know....the hate is gone, and pity remains
