Fake

by alyssa   Sep 5, 2006

She examines every inch of the room
Shes too cautious, wont take a chance
She cant risk getting caught out
Everything needs a second glance
Every memory remains alive in her head
She refuses to forget anything
She cant risk getting caught out
She acts natural
No one would suspect anything from her
Shes so quiet, so mysterious, but she has to be
She cant risk getting caught out
She cant let people see
Her reality isnt really a reality
Its all fake, all made up
She cant risk getting caught out
And she never will
Because shes not real
Just a person in my poem,
A figment of my imagination
To dignify how I feel
Alike all my rhymes
Theyre not real people
Just metaphors
Expressed in such a way that you believe they are real
But really its all in my head
But if you cant hear, see, smell, taste or touch her
Shes a creation of someones imagination
Or dead.

Which is it you choose to believe?
