Enpassant (in passing)

by Todd   Sep 5, 2006

Intellect is a flirtation
So please don't mind if inside I cheer
Don a smile like I would a hat
Wouldn't that be weird?
I'm sure you've noticed our sudden syncopation,
The lines in the corners of your mouth
Serve as my indication

You challenge my every move
Clairvoyance would be
A helpful attribute I
Could sew convincing phrases and
These stitches of time could take me places
Tell me, where would this take you?

You're an everyday transition
And I don't have the wheel to steer
Direct my motion like Coppola would a film
So brilliant and clear
Your movements echo evasion
But the lines in the corners of your mouth
Inspire my imagination

You challenge my every move
Clairvoyance would be
A helpful attribute I
Could sew convincing phrases and
These stitches of time could take me places
Tell me, where could this take you?

Girl bat your eyes
If you're open to interpretation
Do it nice
Not all good fables are spun in Aesop's mind
The plot seems lengthy
But you have the time
The lines in the corners of your mouth
Have my hopes defined
