Inside my soul

by Ignis Divine   Sep 6, 2006

How are they to know the things that I beheld
Each time I looked inside my soul, I saw
Another universe of strange desire
Of hope and knowledge and of fire
Consuming life, consuming fate…

And from the ashes they are born
The perfect beings of eternity
The cherubs with their colored wings
And the gracious nymphs with flawless faces
Worshiping the gift of life

And in this place I found
A new philosophy of life, of hidden desire.
I fancy this world to be my own
My sanctuary of retreat
It’s the place where your lovely eyes I’ll never meet.
