For love

by Ignis Divine   Sep 19, 2006

All the poison in the world
Couldn't kill the love they felt
When they looked into each other's eyes
Angels sang and heaven cried...

The whole world was theirs, or so it seemed
The winds were gentle and the sun was kind
They lived a hundred days of lovely spring
Protected by the cruel and deceiving lies...

But one tragic day it came to be
The fatal kiss of death, it took away
The burning passion from their beating hearts...

They died together starring in each other's eyes
Both beautiful and innocent they were;
And their love gave way to silance
When angels wept and heaven sang....

    I really like this poem. It kind of reminds me of Annabel Lee (Edgar Allen Poe) a little bit. It reads poetically but it's a story, too... I don't know. I'd like to read more by you. This is really good.
