An Unfamiliar Place

by Taryn   Sep 7, 2006

My heart beats fast,
As I walk right past,
These unfamiliar faces,
From different places.

Trying to push my way through the crowd,
As these people talk oh so loud.
Trying to find my class,
Not know its the one that just passed.

Trying to find my way,
In these over crowded hallways.
Meeting new people,
I've learned isn't so simple.

This place is so different,
Was my first statement.
After stepping through those doors,
And onto these unfamiliar floors.

This place runs at such a different pace,
I feel so out of place.
Not knowing where to go,
And knowing that is shows.

So I'm preparing myself for different experiences,
And possibly meeting so called princes.
So this is High School,
Just tell me it wont be cruel...
