Loving a lie

by Ellie   Sep 7, 2006

She stares out into the dark night sky
and wishes life could be different.
wishing school wasnt the only place where she could be herself.
walk home and slip off all your "gay attire"
and prepare to play the role of their "normal" daughter.
she keeps herself shoved in that closet of hers
and its becoming harder to breathe.
and she's ready to scream her lungs out.
she's ready to tell them
but theyre not ready to listen.
the parents who "love" her
are loving a lie.
