Serial killer

by XbleedingangelX   Sep 8, 2006

You're bleeding on the pavement
the blaring sirens are music
to his ears
you aren't the first, but
you will be the last
he works fast, without emotion
he pulls the trigger and
screaming "make this stop"
he watches as the bullet makes
contact with your skin

You thought you would
be the one to save him
from this waking nightmare
You wanted to cast aside his fears
but he had the need to hear you
scream.
he holds all power
when you shower him with your
tears

Now your lying on the pavement
drowning in your sea of blood
But you know the bullet-wound
is minor, beside the hole he left
in your heart

He's running away again
from the only love he ever known
But he had taken your life in his
hands
he got to close
you didn't heed his warning
when he said he loved you
you should have known he
was killing you slowly

like all his other victims
he leaves traces of himself
behind knowing they will never find
him

The country files him a serial killer
but you have seen a side of him
no one has ever seen
when you held him in your arms
and sang him your lullaby
praying he wouldn't see you cry

Now your dying
they are screaming
"its to late" you aren't going
to make it.

You whisper slowly
"why me, I loved you"
He's staring blankly into your eyes
from afar, You see him raise the gun to his head
and with one final breath
he mouthes" I had to my love
forgive me, I'm so sorry"

This is probably me favorite storyline of all your poems. (it -along with other things- inspired all of my best poetry)

Write more soon or I will have to hurt you!
