Dead Trees Are What I Write On

by Theresa   Sep 8, 2006

Dead trees are what i write on
My thought are what i hear
They are the things i smile for
They are the things i fear

Dead trees are what i write on
The led too thick to break
My tree is thin like petals
From flowers i would take

Dead trees are what i write on
In this room that is all mine
Where i am away from them
Where i am confined

Dead trees are what i write on
With the light so dimly lit
The floor is my soft pillow
It is where i would sit

Dead trees are what i write on
Songs of poetry
Words that tell a tale
For the whole world to see

Dead trees are what i write on
Very dead indeed
They give me words of wisdom
They grew from a seed

Dead trees are what i write on.
