We'll Make it Somehow

by Raychil   Sep 9, 2006

*should this be in inspirational or sad...I'm not sure...

In every person
In every heart
There lies a secret
That's torn them apart

It may be gone now
But it was once there
And now someone else
Will have the pain you once bared

It maybe something
That you can't explain
A feeling of emptiness
For love you can't obtain

Or maybe its guilt
From something you've done
Maybe you had sex
And had an abortion

Maybe you just experienced
A terror you can't face
Perhaps you were raped
And you think you're a disgrace

Maybe you're like me
You are numb and cold
But you still feel the sting
Of the scars that you hold

Maybe you were just caught
In a moment you had to take
And once that drug wore off
You realized your mistake

Maybe you just have parents
Who treat you so wrong
That you've finally broken
Your will just wasn't that strong

But I'm here to say
The past is the past
So we do stupid things
Only the memory lasts

When you hold onto pain
It only grows more
Until its so great
You'll go insane for sure

I still have yet to listen
To the words I'm saying now
But I know deep inside
We'll all make it...somehow.

*sorry if any of this offended anyone, and sorry I haven't been writing much, but with school, homework, and sports, I'm barely on my computer at all!

This was an amazing piece! I love your first stanza

    In every person
    In every heart
    There lies a secret
    That's torn them apart

I know I've had things that ripped me to pieces, and when I shared them someone else had to bare the hurt too. So I really understand your sentiments. but like you i like a happy ending and you gave that. You reminded everyone that "somehow" we will make it through. Great Job! Thanks for ur comments! Jpoet*
