Desire

by Jacob M Parnell   Sep 9, 2006

Flooded with desire.
Although her father forbid.
Until their affectionate fire.
Became a kid.

She didn\'t know what to do.
What could she tell her dad.
She said the sickness was the flu.
She never even mentioned Brad.

Only fifteen years old.
Brad was twenty-four.
The world was cold.
Her body was sore.

Brad told her he couldn\'t take it.
Well neither could she.
The day he quit.
She needed something to set her free.

She was lost without a clue.
A pregnant suburban teen.
She had no idea what to do.
Life was over for Colleen.

Her father eventually found out.
Her stomach revealed her sin.
All he did was shout.
This is where it would begin.

She was constantly depressed.
With a baby in her womb.
This was hard to digest.
The baby would construct her tomb.

She couldn\'t take it anymore.
She no longer wanted to live.
Her life became a war.
And she had nothing else to give.

She had lost her love.
She had lost the approval of her dad.
Death was all she could think of.
She lost everything she had.

She attempted an overdose.
With some pills she had bought.
The plan was unsuccessfull.
Her world only became more distraught.

Only two months until her baby was due.
She decided she would do things right.
A new plan she would construe.
That plan took place last night.

They found her this morning.
With both wrists in a red bloom.
They had they\'re first warning.
They shouldn\'t have let her back in her room.

She died because of a stupid mistake.
She had a life most would kill to acquire.
But her life she would take.
All because of they\'re desire.
