The Demon weeps within his lair.
Few eyes have seen a sight so rare.
What pain can bring this stream of tears
To that which every mortal fears?
Perhaps for sins he can't repent
Throughout a life in evil spent.
Or maybe cries for choices made
And deeds which soon will be repaid.
Or does he weep because of fear
That now the end is drawing near,
And soon all of his kind will be
Imprisoned for eternity.
But no, he cares not of these things.
A thought of earthly beauty brings
These tears to this poor creatures eyes.
His one desire his form denies.
A mortal woman he has found
Whose beauty is beyond all bound.
A perfect body, flowing hair,
With deep blue eyes and skin so fair.
He's watched her, hidden from her sight,
And dreams about her every night.
But never can his love be known.
He's doomed to always be alone.
He knows that there can never be
Love for a creature such as he.
