Putting Me Down

by Taryn   Sep 13, 2006

Every time I turn around,
Your pushing me to the ground.
Not a chance will you give me your hand,
Never will you help me stand.
You're never there to catch me when I fall,
Cause I'm just an imperfect doll.
Never good enough,
Thats why I know how to be tough.
When I'm already down,
You make sure I'll never leave the ground.
I've slowly built a wall,
But it crumbles at nightfall.
You've never helped me through my life,
All you do is cause me strife.
I've learned to not expect you,
To always be true.
To be there when I fall,
Or to call me doll.
Cause all you do is put me down,
Like you're a kind wearing a golden crown.
So when I'm down,
Leave me to be found.
By someone who will care,
Someone who will always be there.
Cause no more will I expect you,
Because this is nothing new...
