Beautiful advice from the heart, though it could have been written with more emotion, but I think people should take this advice to heart.

This was a wonderful poem, so much great advice you placed into it. I'm proud I am growing up, when I was younger I was happy to be a child and how everything was always so simple, and your parents helped out with nearly everything. Now that I am nearly 18, I wish I knew what I know now when I was like 10. If I did I would have saved my money, and not back talked to my parents as much. I would have listened and not always thought they where wrong, and way over protective. Cause now that I am older I see what they where getting at, and how not everything in life is handed to you. You need to work to get anywhere, you don't live forever, and don't let every little mistake and error you make weigh you down. I get this now, that I am older but boy oh boy. When I was younger, I had no idea life and everything was as real as my parents painted it out to be. And now truthfully I can see just what they meant, Why I would get in trouble for bad grades, and or not doing m chores and when I would beg for everything.. They where showing and teaching me lifes ways. And I can get what you mean by this poem. It was very insperational, and I truely enjoyed reading it and picking up even more advice that my parents over the years have dropped down upon me. =]

I enjoyed this poem nicely. I agree 100%. You have to enjoy your life and youth while it's there. No one wants to look back on yester years and what could have been. So a great job! Jpoet*

Very profound piece of writing. makes a lot of sense - only most of us don't know it until it hits us so hard that there is nothing left.

    peace and good luck,

This is one of the most inspirational poems I have ever read. I love it. I'm
going to invite a few of my family and
friends to this site so that they can read some of spectacular work also.
If I haven't said it before I say it now.
"Your brilliant John". Your worth more
then you know. Why haven't you
published any of your work yet? I would love to be one of the many fans that purchases your book. Keep up the excellent work John. They don't make many poets like you anymore.

    Love
    Letty
