The Broken Heart

by Justin   Sep 16, 2006

Never more to see your face,

Never more in time or space,

For I have done something wrong,

Over you and a silly song,

I put the razor to my wrist,

And then the cut I clench my fist,

Bleeding, slicing, sawing, slashing,

My heart takes a constant bashing,

As the blood comes raining down,

How we used to goof around,

The world is flashing befor my eyes,

And all I loved I now despise,

Except one thing, I'll tell you who,

The one I'll love forever is you,

But now I left your side for good,

You never saw me as you should,

Never more to speak again,

Never more to see my friends,

As you read this poem now,

I am lying on the ground,

My heart is cut more than this wrist,

And that is why I hold this fist,

It hurts so much you'll never know,

And this death so cold, so slow,

As they lay me in the ground,

While the the people gather round,

While they take back what they
said,

They give me all the tears they shed,

As they shovel in the dirt,

I remember how it hurt,

All those painful memories,

There all gone, they lie with me,

Never more to laugh and cry,

Never more to bleed and die,

But one thing I recall still,

Is the person who I kill,

As our hearts are bound together,

There will never be another,

As she stands above me crying,

Wishing that she too was lyeing,

Next to me beneath the ground,

As the people gather round,

But she'll never lay by me,

For she doesn't know the key,

The key that she so longly sought,

That cant be sold, and cant be bought,

As the flowers fill the ground,

As the birds so sweetly sound,

As you long for me as well,

All these secrets that you'll tell,

Tell me now your love for me,

And I will share with you the key,

While I lay here all alone,

As you talk upon the phone,

I would tell you the key to death,

If I only had the breath,

As the darkness fills you too,

I never will stop loving you,

As I lay within my grave,

Your far gone, to late to save,

Never more to laugh and cry,

Never more to say goodbye...
