Nothingness

I see it and it seems
So close, it's as if I can
Touch it, but yet it's too
Far away to touch......

I call for it to come to me,
But it just sits there
With its cold dark eyes,
Looking at me as if
I weren't even there....

I start running, trying
To reach it, but I stop short,
As I watch it disappear
An it leaves me in darkness...

I screamed, I screamed for
Life to come back to me,
But it just simply disappeared
And sent me flying into
Depths of Nothingness....
