Lost chance

Matt: Tomorrow's the last day of senior year and I still haven't told Yuri.
Robert: Well what are you waiting for?
Matt: She's so beautiful, I never thought beauty like this could be,
Robert: well then go tell her that...hearing that would make her happy,
Matt: no...I can't...she'd never go for a guy like me,
Robert: how do you know that when you haven't given it a chance to see?
Matt: I just know...Robert...read this poem that I wrote about her.
Robert: Another one? okay let me see it...

Matt:"Everyday that I see you makes my whole body become weak,
and the shape of your beautiful face is so perfect and unique,
I wish I could lay under the stars with you, and as we gaze at the night sky,
I know deep within my heart that I am your guy,
let me admire your beauty from your head down to your feet,
and think of a million reasons why you make my heart skip a beat,

I wish I could tell you that I love to see you walk by everyday,
but I'm so stunned by your beauty that I lose the words to say,
but if I could speak I'd tell you that I'd never treat you wrong,
if I did anything to hurt you, I'd apologize no matter how long,
you'd be my one of a kind angel that god sent me from above,

Robert: Wow...that was...so...gay,
but I give you credit...so it's okay,
Matt: (laugh) yeah do you think I should give it to her?
Robert: Yeah give it to her...she'll love it...all girls love this kind of stuff...
Matt: true...okay I will

(next day at school)

Matt: Here she comes down the hall
Robert: are you ready to give it to her?
Matt: I think so...go stand behind the door so I don't know you're there.
Robert:....okay....
Matt: here she comes...y..ur...

(she walks by and he doesn't give it to her)

Robert: what happened...you let her walk by again
Matt: I don't know I just can't do it...
Robert: come on...you need to
Matt: I know but I didn't...I gotta go
Robert: okay...lataz

( A year goes by Matt bumps into one of Yuri's friends)

Kc: Wow...are you matt?
Matt: yeah...how do you know me?
Kc: Yuri used to talk about you all the time
Matt: WHAT?
Kc: Yeah...she wrote some poem for you....I thought it was really cute...
Matt:....do you...have you...do you have it with you?
Kc: Yeah actually I do..I kept a copy...it's really beautiful
I'm surprised you never asked her out....she was always waiting..
