Listen to the rain

by \^^/Jessie\^^/   Mar 11, 2004

Listen to the raindrops,
Falling to the ground,
Whispering their secrets,
Of love that can't be found.

Slowly striking the window,
Like my tears hit the floor,
I'm sitting here in wonder,
What death has in store.

Frantically I'm searching,
For a reason to keep my life,
A reason to not use this weapon,
The cold steel of this knife.

I wish I had a story,
That to the world could be told,
Of happiness and smiles,
Not of a heart this cold.

But listen to the droplets,
My story is told with the sky,
Because even though the droplets leave,
It's still hard to say goodbye.
