To Hillary

She lies, awake, for another night,
Wondering if what she did was right.
Out of everything, only one thing's clear:
He makes her heart tingle when he's near.

Every time he smiles, he makes her heart soar,
But she'd never have seen what she had in store.
He loves another, with all his heart.
She should have realized that from the start.

He's making her hang on a thin line of string
As she watches him enjoy his sweet little fling.
As each day passes, her heart tears up more,
When her unrequited love washes up on the shore.

She wants this to stop, but she loves him so,
And she can't find herself to let painfully go.
If she finds out that there's something to gain,
Then she will wait till her dying days.

* This is one of my older works, so [ at least, I think ] it's not as good. Forgive me, I can't delete it since it's dedicated to my friend. I just can't find any better words to describe it. Yes, I went against my own opinion. Stupid me. xDD.

Awhh, that was so sad yet very sweet at the same time.. The flow worked well and the descriptions expressed what you meant well.. Nicely done! 5/5
