My Best Friend

by lost•in•lies   Sep 19, 2006

She lies and cheats.
She always cries.
She’s always right
And gets every guy

Everyone loves her
But what they don’t see
Is how she acts
When she’s talking ‘bout me

“She’s my best friend
I love her to death”
Next thing you know
“Girl, take your last breath”

I’m not good enough
Even though I’m there
I never talked crap
And I’ve always cared

Why does she hate me?
What did I do?
I’ve never done anything
Can’t she get the clue?

That she’s in my heart
She’s my best friend
No matter what
I’ll love her ‘till the end

But I don’t think she sees
What’s in front of her eyes
I don’t think she knows about
This broken heart caused by her lies

She thinks she’s perfect
And she’s always right
No one correct her
Unless you plan to fight

She’s easy to anger
And slow to forgive
Don’t piss her off
If you want to live
If you know she’s wrong
Don’t you dare say
She’ll break you down
In any way

She sounds so bad
But what you don’t know
Is no matter what
I can’t let her go

Everyone gave up on her
And now I know why
But for some reason
Even with her lies

I want to help her
I refuse to give in
I’ll make excuses
She’s just mistaken

I know the real truth
But she’s my best friend
I’ll never hurt her
I’m here ‘till the end
