My Old Chevrolet (Lyrics)

by Leah   Sep 21, 2006

I remember this one particular day
I was daddy's girl, he gave me a Chevrolet. It was old, but he spit shinned it up, but I didn't care, because it was my first truck.

It just needed a little paint
but it only had a 305
but I didn't care
Because I could finally drive.

My long blond hair flowed behind the wheel, but I didn't care, because it was all real.

I was tryin to be a lady
but I was behind the wheel
thought It'd be fun
to make my tires squeal.

I was trying to be a lady
but I could drive
and more then ever
I felt alive.

It was more freedom then I ever had, and I was out most nights, and my folks were glad.

And I finally got a little paint
thought it looked brand new
thought it looked great.

I was tryin to be a lady but it was so hard, cleaning my old Chevrolet in my front yard.

And with this freedom
thought I would run
with my first love
thought it'd be fun.

Cruising down main street
in my Chevrolet, thought it looked great, just ridin around with him, though it was late.

And my truck was there
when I got my first kiss
and I thought to myself
how did it end like this?

With my long blond hair
I lived in a small town
there was nothing to do
but cruise around.

I remember that on a Sunday
were were suppose to be at church
but we ran away,
on that Sunday,
when we made love in my Chevrolet.

for my first time,
on a Sunday,
we made love
in my Chevrolet.

I remember this one particular day
I was daddy's girl, he gave me a Chevrolet. It was old, but he spit shinned it up, but I didn't care, because it was my first truck.

It just needed a little paint
but it only had a 305
but I didn't care
Because I could finally drive.
