Grandad

PART I:
I do not know how long you have
And I donâ??t want to ask
It would only waste the time
I have with you
I cannot cry because I know
The worse is yet to come
I cannot cry because I have to be strong
And I cannot be strong because I cry
PART II:
Every time I laugh, I will know
That you cannot
And every time I cry, I know
That you are not there to wipe my tears
Mum said that it is alright to cry
But only when I am by myself I do
I cannot help it granddad, but I love you
So when I see nana,
And she offers me a seat
I will sit beside your space
Just to feel you near
So if you are there you can lean over
And give me a hug
Tell me it is alright
