Abide

In this thing we all call life
There are a few rules I follow
They are the things that keep me going
The things to keep me alive

I watch which way I'm going.
To make sure I don't fall in
Into the thing that would take me
To the place I've never been

I keep track of all my things.
My heart is the one I guard most
For if that is lost I am too
And god knows where I'd be

Next would be my sanity.
To keep for wearing thin
To keep for going crazy
During all the things I did

Last would be myself
And to never loose my hope
To keep my head up high
For it is the one thing
That I should abide.
