My Angel

Just last night i had a dream, that you came to say hello,
I wish i was still in that dream, cos then you wouldn't have to go,
I dreamed i saw that smile, upon your pretty face,
And then we went alone, into a secret place,
The place was filled with roses, roses red and white,
It had no kind of darkness, it was filled with only light,
I dreamed you took my hand, and looked me in the eye,
It was around about this time, that I then started to cry,
You told me it was OK, OK to be upset,
But I should be happy to, cos you can finally rest,
You said the world is far from perfect, it's full of anger and fear,
But it will always be OK, cos God is always here,
You told me to never give up, and if i was hurt to pray,
But most of all you told me, to never loose my faith,
You said you'd always be with me, and in that i believe,
And I'm never going to forget you, i ware this on my sleeve,
You then took me home, and you put me to bed,
Then you planted the softest kiss, right upon my head,
the next morning i woke up, and remembered you came to see me,
I know you'll keep your promise, and you will never leave me,
Your my angel and i love you, and i miss you in every way,
And i can't wait to see your face again, some bright and shiny day.

this is for my friend beth who died last year through cancer she had been battling with her whole life. she was 14 when she died and we all love and miss her. she had an amazing amount of faith in God and i believe thats where she is now.
