All I'll Ever Need

by Sammy   Sep 24, 2006

I bet this road will take me out of here
Take me far away from this town
I bet this car will go real fast
It might even take me past the places you said I never go

The sky isn't big enough for us
Doesn't leave much room for a girl like me
So I'll fill it up with hopes and worn out dreams
Drive until I find the missing link

So I'll grab the wheel and I'll point it west
Pack the good and leave the rest
Drive until I find the missing link
You said I wouldn't get to far on a tank of gas and empty heart

But I've got all I ever need
I've got my best friends
Mama said I never should have done it
Should have ended us before we ever started

Daddy knew about my pride
As he stood there and smiled inside
I pretended I didn't notice the tear that fell
When I said I was going

So I'll grab the wheel and I'll point it west
Pack the good and leave rest
Drive until I find the missing link
You said I wouldn't get too far on a tank of gas and empty heart

But I've got all I'll ever need
