Unsung love

On your mouth the scar of me that I've burnt on your past.
An everlasting scent of you that stays with me, though vast.
An unexpected twist in fate that changed our lives for good.
The undeniable force to collate, a bond that keeps us glued.

That tenderness from your sweet tears, pleading for me to stay.
Holding on to what we should but feeling each other slip away.
Not closing my eyes is my heart begging to not fall deeper into you.
The essence of me as a human being who always wants to stay true.

True to my heart, my soul or mind - that's the question burning.
'Cause how true am I with a smile on my face, whilst my spirit is yearning?
What makes you persevere, why the fire burning within your strive?
Do I realize how far you will go to keep me in your life?

Suppressing, lying, always denying my love and passion within.
Easily forgotten but always remembered, each time you make my spirit sing.
Your eyes like the ocean spraying into me, saying more than just words.
I'm the lyrics and you're the guitar - sung by ladybirds.
