A life unfairly stole

by Hey Brittknee   Sep 26, 2006

Lungs are icy, and holding tight
Muscles clenched, eyes full of fright
Starting to see, the bright light
She doesn't want to die tonight

Holding the hands, of the one she loved so dear
Looking through closed eyes, at her darkest fears
The realization is becoming clear
Her death is beginning to draw near

She couldn't stop it, no one could
She lived a life that no one should
No one tried to help her, even if they said they would
In the hospital, the sheets covered her head like a hood

She died that night, frozen in pain
Her lungs were icy, she was no longer sane
She gasped for a breath she could no longer gain
And with her last breath, her love's tears ran like rain

His tears flowed, not able to be controlled
The doctors rushed in to try and save her soul
She started up to heaven, to pay her toll
For a life, so unfairly stole
