Drinking mom

She's not that strong,
But she does stand brave.
And I wont give up hope,
some people change.
Against all odds, against the grin.
Love finds away, Maybe one day she'll change.
I understand she was born with her fathers habit.
Some people would say that it's in her blood.
I know that she hates that she has got to have it.
As she pulls the glass up,
I'd love for her to kill that bottle.
But she takes another sip.
All she can think about is a better life, a second chance, and everyones she's letting down.
I hear her cry at night as she says a prayer,
How she wishes she could disappear, that she was never there.
So many thoughts run through her mind,
All I can wish is to take the pain that she crys.
And sometimes I feel that I should just et it go
because all she promises always turns into lies.
But I wont give up hope,
Because some people change,
against all odd, against the grin.
Love finds away.
Maybe one days she'll change.
