LIFE GOES ON

by brittany   Sep 28, 2006

As the leaves fall on an old tree
she smiles and as she hears the
the sound of her daughters cry
she closes her eyes,
one life ends and a new
one begins as she looks at the
world for the first time so small
and fragile, to young to know
her mother gave her life so that she
could start hers,
now 7 years have gone by
and her dad tells her the story
of her mother and the old tree outside
and its meaning
sad at first then happy she runs
outside to the old tree that her
mother had planted for her
and she corves her initials under
mothers and says "that'll do"
now 23 years have gone by and
she's married and has two kids of her own
and she tells them the same story then
they put there initials on the tree as well
and as she watches she smalls and says "that'll do"
