Thank You, Beloved

by A Former Outcast   Sep 28, 2006

Look through all of my things
My life achievements and work
You'll see that this was coming,
You'll see that you're a jerk.

You'll see that you drove me to this,
You'll see what you made me do,
You'll see the pain you caused me here,
You'll see what I've been through.

Your soul will cry, your heart will hurt,
As you realize what you did to me.
You'll weep bright tears of sadness and grief,
While forgetting that you set me free.

Free to move on in life,
To go where no one goes,
To continue on without remorse,
Where there will be no foes.

Thank you, beloved, for hurting me so,
For pushing me off the brink.
Now I can be happy, the pain is gone,
Thanks for not letting me sink.

Thank you for the death you have granted me,
The pain you've banished here,
Thank you for killing me, my one true love,
I hope you live in fear.

Fear of vengeance, fear of hate,
Fear of Death's long arm,
Fear of my soul haunting you,
I know you feel alarm.

Just let yourself go, and come with me,
Ill show you the real way out.
Ill steal your pain and let you soar,
Ill show you what death is about.

((I've gotten some confusion over this poem. Let me clarify it. The first part is spiteful. The second part is vengeful. The third part is cunning, trying to convince the reader to kill herself. There, if that helps at all.))

That's freaking deep dude. I like the beginning how you started it off. Then you kept it going all the way to the end 5/5

This is an awesome poem. It's so hateful, you just feel guilty reading it, as if you are the one the narratator is talking to.

I love the line, 'Thank you for the death you have granted me,
    The pain you've banished here,
Thank you for killing me, my one true love,
I hope you live in fear.' It's so spiteful and you can just tell how upset the narrarator is.

Rght more soon. This was really good ;)
