Prism

by hikarikitti   Sep 29, 2006

At the head of my table
Sits a little glass prism.
It takes gray light in from outside,
and colors my inside world

inside sits my glass heart.
all that I am
all that I ever was
Intertwined with a rose,
both supsended and untouched by time and space
Here sits my promise;
know that these things will never change for us

On one side, the image is whole
but on the other, it's split
by invisible lines.
And when the world turns
it puts the halves back to one

there my little prism remains
to color my world
on the grayest of days
